The Trust works closely with local organisations, including the Save Brick Lane campaign, to protect the historic character of East London. We engage with the Mayor and local councillors to represent community interests in relation to proposed developments. Our focus is on maintaining the heritage of East London while seeking practical solutions to the need for affordable housing.
We are currently working with local partners to oppose the plans for the Truman Brewery site. Truman Estates has appealed to the Planning Inspectorate in relation to its applications for the site and Save Brick Lane is participating in the Inquiry.
